Keep It Simple
One of my summer goals before getting married and getting to combine closets with my sweet fiancé (who also has way more clothes than he needs/wears) is to simplify things down. I have so many things that I have worn once since buying them, and things that just don't suit my style any more. I'm taking on the task of cleaning out, selling, giving away. Just getting rid of unnecessary articles of clothing that are taking up space and making it hard to utilize the core solid items I do have. This summer I want to focus more on outfits that are simple, while still saying a lot. This white outfit is great, because not only is it clean & bright, but these linen J Crew pants are practically like walking around in your jammies. Combine it with this soft cotton knit Brandy Tee, and you are in for a sweet treat. I styled it two different ways. One, with the WKND LA necklace that has so much dimension and character that it added the perfect flare to all the white, and this gray baseball cap. Think of it as a daytime & nighttime look. This outfit is just one example of how I want to narrow down, simplify, and make good use of the tried & true items I have.
P.S. If you are interested, keep an eye out for the closet I will be selling soon! It will take place through an IG account 'Monica's Closet' and will be done through bidding. Hoping you all can score on the pieces I still adore but can no longer fit in my closet.
